Create a UPI QR code from a UPI ID you already have
You can do two different things. You can open the UPI app you already use and look at the code it shows. Or you can type that UPI ID into UPIQRTool and download a picture. This page explains both. It does not open a bank account, move money, or prove who owns a UPI ID.
Find the UPI ID in the app you already use
Open the app you use to receive money. Look in the profile or the area for receiving money. You are looking for an ID shaped like name@bank or name@upi. The menus change, so this page does not list taps for a particular app version.
PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, and BHIM all show a UPI ID somewhere in that profile or receive area when the account is set up. UPIQRTool is not those apps and does not use their logos. If you cannot find the ID, use that app’s own help. Do not type a UPI PIN into a website to reveal it.
Make a picture from that UPI ID
- Open the UPI QR generator.
- Enter the UPI ID exactly.
- Enter the name you want on the picture. The payer’s app may show a different name: the name on the bank account, or a checked brand name for a verified merchant. The name you type is not that proof. NPCI’s 18 September 2026 circular, section 2.15, says a name taken from a QR code is not displayed as the beneficiary’s name. Section 2.13 covers the core-banking name. Section 2.14 covers a validated brand name for merchant payments.
- Leave the amount empty when each bill is different. A fixed amount is only a request inside the code. The payer still has to confirm the amount in their app. The FAQ says an amount in the code is not proof that it cannot be changed.
- Add a short note only if it helps you recognise the payment later.
- Create the code and download the PNG. The form on the current homepage is processed in the browser. That page does not put those details in the page address.
- Before you print or send the picture, read it back. Use the code reader in this preview, or scan it with your own phone. Check the UPI ID. Pay ₹1 to yourself or cancel. Give the goods only after you see the credit in your own app or SMS.
Three kinds of code
A code from this tool does not expire and is not limited to one scan. That is a limit of this tool, stated in the FAQ. It is not a rule about every QR code a bank or payment company prints.
| What you have | What it is |
|---|---|
| No amount | The payer types the amount. Useful at a counter. |
| An amount in the code | A request for that amount. It is still a code you made in the browser, and the payer reviews it. |
| A new code from a payment company for one bill | That company creates it per transaction. UPIQRTool does not do that. |
What this page will not do
It will not tell you that a UPI ID is real. It will not make a Bharat QR code from an account number and IFSC. It will not make a UPI Lite wallet code. It will not promise that every UPI app displays the code the same way. The payer confirms the recipient in their own app before paying.
Questions
Does this QR code expire?
A code made here has no expiry date and is not a one-time code. If your UPI ID changes, make a new picture. Stop using the old one.
Does the tool check my UPI ID?
No. It encodes the characters you type.
Will every app accept it?
The code is a upi://pay request. Apps differ. Confirm the recipient on the payer’s phone before any payment.

- UPIQRTool FAQ Checked 19 October 2026. The tool encodes a UPI ID, a name, an optional amount, an optional note, and INR. It does not verify the UPI ID, confirm payment, or create an expiry. The FAQ that day also said it does not create payment links.
- NPCI UPI Consolidated Circular, 18 September 2026 Sections 2.13, 2.14, and 2.15. This site cannot tell which name a payer’s app will show.
